Why are you surprised?
Look at this country you have created.
Look at the division.

The number one cause of death for children under 18?
A gun.
And when children are massacred in school by mad men with guns
All you can do is offer a feeble “thoughts and prayers”
Thoughts and prayers do not stop bullets.

You are not caring for our children.
We will not have more to replace the ones your indifference slaughtered.

We will not bring children into a world that protects men who rape children.
We will not create more victims for your depravity.
Not until the Johns are all in prison.
We believe our sisters and are outraged.

We will not bring children into a country that tears a baby out of its mother’s arms bc of the color of her skin and the language she speaks.
She is still a mother.
They are still a family.
We see your hypocrisy dripping from your lips like blood.

And you can try to take away our autonomy 
And we will still refuse as we are able.

We will not bring fodder into to this country hellbent on death.
We will not create workers for the fields.
We are watching as you destroy our children’s earth.
We are watching you create a hell of the future.

Woman know.
 and we will speak with our bodies on the line.
We will speak for our children.

We demand a culture of life and love.
Especially love.

Because love is the act through which children come into this world.
Let them be surrounded by love their entire lives.
