(A Profane Poem for Profane Times)

49.
Married for 21 years.
Two children.
Former scientist.
Stay at Home Mom.
Attend church every Sunday to sing in the choir.
Poet.
Artist.
Musician.

I oppose our president and his assault on our Constitution.
I will continue to oppose it although he threatens all of us.

We the People
Are never of one mind.
I do not threaten anyone
To get my way.

But will continue to advocate:
By my vote 
With my voice
Through my artwork
And if necessary with my body,
for our democratic processes. 

As Is my right.
Enshrined in the Bill of Rights.
No one can take that away.
