This is a space where I have a mid life crisis, write about my creative journey, and talk about songwriting and share bits of terrible poetry.

A few new moon poems.

It was so dark last night with the moon missing.
It was clear. It was cold.
And the stars shown bright.
Showing us their missing light.
Traveling from the past.
Coming to us at last.
As if to say
You can hold out for another day.

Run, run litle rabbit.
I know you little habits.
You’ve been running scared
But maybe it’s no longer there.
It’s safe to look around.
Take a breathe
See what you have found.
Undercover of the dark.
You can know your heart.
But first you have to set it free
And seek some clarity
Then you will see
That most of what has made you afraid
Is insubstantial or low grade.
Falls apart with the slightest scrutiny
Soon it is time for our mutiny.
