This is a space where I have a mid life crisis, write about my creative journey, and talk about songwriting and share bits of terrible poetry.

  1. An image was used as a template for this image.
  2. Watcher, I have the screenshot where I started composing this poem, dated Nov. 13. It was right after we started chatting.
  3. Halo, this was a visual affect of the sun rising through the trees and the camera.
  4. Spot #1, the only poem (in this collection) that predates the livestream
  5. Wish, I swear I saw a shooting star one morning very early through the trees.
  6. At the Gate, came out of discussion on the chat. The Latin was quoted by someone. All of my Latin comes from church and singing. Roughly translated “ Together we come. Together we left. We build while they ruin”
  7. Why? I am very self conscious about my fascination with the livestream and yet….
  8. Come, come again I started to drop weird quotes into the chat some mornings. I wasn’t meaning to show off, but it was a little obnoxious.
  9. Leave No Trace, the character who shows up and deletes their verse .
  10. The First Snow, S05 EP10. There was a Bonfire. Reference to Wolcum Yule from a Ceremony of Carols (Britten) the poem gets drunk toward the end.
  11. A Problem with Communication. A conversation as a remember it. Thanks to Kaitlyn, Kira, Kristy, and Odette for their voices and support, also thanks anyone else who was there that night.
  12. Dark Night, there were lights at night. And we had a crazy discussion about Morse code.
  13. One, “We are one. We are all//When we divide is when we fall//…I love you all. We exist together.”
  14. What does this mean? A conversation between me and Kristy one evening.
  15. Becoming, sometimes I would meditate.
  16. The Solstice
  17. Authenticate , Sigh, true story. sorry again.
  18. Rules, something someone said. I felt accused. And guilty. Although it probably wasn’t directed at me.
  19. Fantasy No,1, will any of these become a series? Probably not.
  20. The Cabin, something struck me about the interviews.
  21. The Muse
  22. An Ending of Sorts, free verse written on screen.
  23. A moonlit am, a second free verse written on screen
  24. Un Nom, a discussion that came up several times in the chat about people being uncomfortable with using the name of God bc the name as been raked through the mud.
  25. Snowlight, became a song
  26. Seek, about AI, became a song
  27. Fleet, to Urtypus
  28. Untitled
  29. This is Water, idle musing. Title is taken from a famous commencement address by David Foster Wallace
  30. A thing I don’t understand. Watching the moon I got confused.
  31. Winterstormwarning, Haiku, non traditional (or very traditional depending on how you look at it).
  32. False Spring, we are in WI.
  33. On The Woman, I take a trip to Brooklyn for the chat and have greater appreciation for the woman you always hear in the recording
  34. Stream, livestream was orginally unlisted. I found my way there by some strange force in November 2024. They listed the livestream when they premiered the videos for Walk Home and If Own Ley.
  35. An Erasure Poem, turn about is fair play.
  36. Legend, written from another perspective
  37. Crows, one night a huge black bird swooped into the screen and blacked it out. Crows were prominent in this forest. I see where all the crow references came from.
  38. The Big Read Book. Musings about using symbols (or people) in place of the name of god. And thoughts about soul and Anam Cara.
  39. Black Wing Sacrifice Janus is the Roman god of January, and dichotomy as well as transitions. The first few lines came out of a dream that woke me up and had me reaching for my notebook in the middle of the night.
  40. It was a dreary day on stream when it went down. I was at the beach. That probably made it easier. As if it knew.
  41. What if? We often miss what is right in front of us. The stream was a meditation that taught me to open my eyes , that everything I am looking for is (probably) already here.
