This is a space where I have a mid life crisis, write about my creative journey, and talk about songwriting and share bits of terrible poetry.

Snowlight

Snowlight lead the way
On this path I know so well by day.

Finding night where it ends
Soft crunch meet my oldest friends.

The sun just starting to rise
Through cloudy sky
As I slowly open my eye
To all that is and all I prize
It is all around me here,
These things that I fear.
I go to confront them there.

So I make my way
Before the light of day
And if I stay very still
I hear the trill
The first birdsong
Telling me I belong

To this wood
That have stood
The test of time
I find my rhyme
In my wandering feet
Slow my heart beat

In the stillness there
If I listen I will hear
The first note
of what I wrote
a song from long ago.
greeting me as I return home.
